Prove your accounts are really yours.
RealHandles ties your real social accounts to one person and gives you a proof you actually own. It is signed by your key, it lives wherever you want, and it keeps working even if we are gone.
The root of trust is yours
An Ed25519 key generated in your browser signs your proof. Not our login, not your domain. We never see the private key.
Works without us online
Your proof is a signed file you can host at your own domain. Anyone can verify it with off-the-shelf crypto, no RealHandles required.
Lose the domain, keep the identity
If a domain lapses and a new owner buys it, that owner can host a file but cannot sign it with your key, so the anchor breaks and never becomes your identity.
How it works
1. Generate your key. In your browser, held by you, backed up encrypted with a passphrase. This is the one thing that is truly you.
2. Verify your accounts. GitHub via one-click sign-in, X and TikTok by posting a token, YouTube by your channel, and any domain you control. More platforms keep coming.
3. Sign your manifest. Your key signs one file listing every account you have proven. That file is your proof.
4. Share your page. A public, always-current profile of your real accounts, with a "verify independently" button and a full JSON export.
Short handles cannot just be nabbed
The shorter the handle, the stronger the claim you must hold. You reserve a name by proving you already own it, so squatters cannot grab realhandles.com/you.
Open Handles of 6+ characters are first come, first served. A matching account or domain still earns a namesake badge.
Premium Handles of 3 to 5 characters require at least one matching verified account or domain.
Reserved Handles of 1 to 2 characters require a strong match: a .com you control, or your handle on a tier-1 platform (X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn).
A match means your verified handle on a key platform equals the name, or you control the matching domain. Domains rank above platforms, and .com ranks above other TLDs.
One page of your real accounts
An always-current, signed profile creators, founders, and public figures can point to: these are mine, ignore the clones.
Quantity as credibility
More verified accounts and a controlled domain raise your trust score, which is what makes even a self-attested claim believable.
A decentralized ID, free
Every identity is also a standard did:key, ready for the wider verifiable-credentials world. No blockchain, no wallet, no fees.
